Double self-portrait. This is a polaroid photo that has been exposed twice. I took the first photo (in front of a mirror) and I snapped the camera shut so that it didn’t have a chance to expose. Then I took the second photo and the picture jumped out like this.
I’ve been playing around with my new Polaroid camera. It does double exposures if you snap it closed before the photo pops out. I’ve not quite got the hang of it yet!
Its fun trying.

This is the portrait of Shaun Ryder that I gave to him on thursday. He seemed pretty chuffed so I think he likes it. Its a lino print that I made at Hot Bed Press, it will be exhibited amongst some of my other prints at the Warrington Art Gallery. It is part of a group exhibition with other printmakers, the opening is on friday 23rd September and is on for a month.
I gave Shaun Ryder a portrait I made of him at his book launch. He seems really happy about it and suddenly I become quite star struck, loose it and run away. I nearly forgot the book! He was lovely though and said that he was going to put it on his wall. It was the best thing I’ve ever done, a dream realised, except the part where I totally freaked out and acted like a psychotic fan.
Today its a Lino Print of Lee Scratch Perry. He was my Glastonbury highlight this year.
